It was my first visit in the United States and I discovered a new world.
I found my self in the Bridgeport community which became my home.
I was excited to teach in different schools and learn a lot from the Jewish life out side of Israel.
I discovered that you can have your life as a Jew in many different ways, either as a Reform, Conservative or Modern Orthodox. It was the first time that I went to synagogues every Shabbat and loved the prayers! I felt like a star from Israel in the community.
The people were excited to have me in the community and together we created great activities during the year for all kinds of people in the community in many different ages and organizations.
I found my home at three amazing families that are still in my heart and I will keep them close to me forever.
It was the first time that I left my home in Israel and became independent and enjoyed this amazing experience in America. The group of the Young Emissaries are like family and it's an opportunity that can happen only once in a life time!
Now I'm working for the Israeli Embassy in The Hague, the Netherlands.
I'm working in the Consular section and also as an assistant to the Israeli Military Attache'.
I'm enjoying the experience of living in Europe and traveling. I love this job and my life here but I still miss home and Israel a lot.
