"There will be a chocolate Seder being held on April 12th at a West Island synagogue for young adults aged 18 to 25 years old. This is a fun event which replaces the cups of wine with chocolate milk and regular motzah with chocolate motzah. There will be about 40 participants for this chocolate Seder.
"The Ghetto Shul and Hillel will be conducting traditional Seders for 60 - 70 students who are studying in Montreal and are unable to be with their families. Students who wish to be in a home environment are given the opportunity to have home hospitality with a Montreal family.
"CSUQ (COMMUNAUTE SEPHARADE UNIFIEE DU QUEBEC) has volunteers preparing and delivering packages for Passover with wine, money and coupons to enable 350 families to buy Kosher for Passover food that they would otherwise be unable to purchase.
"A wonderful event organized by FEDERATION West Island saw 120 people, mostly young families with children, come together to create Matzoh covers and have a Jewish experience around the holiday of Pesach.
"The Diller teens group, along with members of the members of the Montreal Jewish community will be delivering 2000 Passover food baskets for the local chapter of B'Nai Brith.
"On March 29th there will be an informative Passover class Seder 101by the West Island JCC and the West Island Jewish Experience. In this class participants will learn to: o Make their Seder interactive & meaningful o Get their family & friends involved o and choose the right hagaddah for their family.
There are many more activities in synagogues and organizations, too numerous to mention. Montrealers love a celebration and Passover, the holiday of lights, is celebrated by Jewish Montreal to the fullest.
