Ambassadors for Unity at Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple
Ambassadors for Unity is a program that exists for 6 years in the Beit Shean Region. The program is for youth from ages 16-18 from Cleveland and Beit Shean Region. Every year, both sides choose 16 teenagers from different backgrounds that will participate in the program. The goals of the program are: each side will learn about each other, about our life, to be ambassadors of their region on the partnering side, and to understand Jewish pluralism and accept each person the way they are. In order to get the teenagers ready for being ambassadors abroad, we (Cleveland staff and Beit Shean region staff) prepare them at least 2 months in advance. Last December, the Ambassadors from Cleveland arrived to Beit Shean Region for 10 days, during their stay they learned about the region, met people in different organizations, and stayed overnight with their friends from the Beit Shean region group.

On March 22, the Ambassadors from Beit Shean Region flew to Cleveland. They are currently learning about the Jewish Community in Cleveland while they are staying at their friends they hosted previously in Beit Shean Region.
