Community Houses |

Community Houses serve as platforms for families to experience Jewish tradition through joint learning gatherings as well as the marking of holidays and life events. In recent weeks we've investigated the need and possibility for establishing Community House in the city and the region. A specially assembled focus group which gathered last weekend supplied us with evidence that there is a real need for a response in this area and that the Community House concept answers that need. Naturally, we would have to adapt the idea to the diverse character of the Valley's population. Participating in the focus group were members of study groups, the director of the Valley culture department, members of the Steering Committee, director of the Sha'arim Beit Midrash, representatives of Shittim, and others. A follow-up meeting with directors of Community Centers is planned in order to discuss the subject further.
