Partnership 2000 Beit Shemesh - Yehuda Plains welcomes the arrival of Aviv Klein, the new director, following the departure of the previous director, Yizhar Hess who is now serving as the Director General of the Masorti Movement in Israel.
Aviv Klein served as the Director of Partnership 2000 Kiryat Gat - Lachish - Shafir -Chicago for the past five years.
She brings with her rich experience in working with Jewish communities at home and abroad.
Aviv served for several years as Director of Special Projects and Adult Education for the Ramle Community Center.
She also worked for the World Zionist Organization as director of seminars and programs for students. One of her most exciting positions was serving as a Shlicha in Budapest, Hungary, where she was charged with the task of directing the Ron Lauder Summer Camp for thousands of Jewish youth from all over Eastern Europe.
Aviv holds a master's degree in Jewish education from the Hebrew University and a bachelor's degree in physical education and rehabilitation from the Wingate Institute.
For several years, Aviv directed sports programs at Jewish summer camps in the United States. Aviv and her husband Omer live in Gedera, with their two young children.
Aviv is an active athlete, playing on the Gedera women's basketball team and also sings in the Ha'Yotzim Migidram Choir.
Aviv has already started working with the community in Israel and Overseas, having recently returned from Steering Committee meetings in Washington.
