On Monday July 31, 2007, the first Bible Quiz organized by Beit Shemesh-Yehuda Plains Jewish Agency Partnership 2000 together with the South African community was held.
The Quiz took place in the Ramat Beit Shemesh Community Center as part of the Yoav Yehuda Bible Festival.
The Quiz was organized under the guidance of Neria Pinchas, who is the moderator of the World Bible Quiz and who knew how to arouse the audience's interest and enthusiasm.
The guests at the Quiz included the parents of the participants, representatives of local newspapers and residents of Beit Shemesh.
Also in the audience were members of a Partnership 2000 delegation to Poland, composed of Israeli and South African youth, that left for Poland on Tuesday night.
About nine kids took part in the Quiz.
In preparation, the kids toured the Beit Shemesh-Yehuda Plains Region led by Ayal Davidson, a guide from the Yad Ben Zvi Institute (which is giving academic sponsorship to the Quiz).
The decision on the winners was made by the judges who represented Partnership 2000, Mateh Yehuda and Yad Ben Zvi.
There were three winners: Hadas Pinchuk in first place, Aviela Kamiler in second place and Yoav Katan in third place.

They will fly to South Africa to represent Israel in the final quiz.
The hall was full to capacity and the audience also had a chance to participate and even to win prizes.
The event was very exciting, even considering the fact that this was the first Partnership 2000 Bible Quiz of its type.

We hope that the Quiz will become a regular event of the Partnership and wish success to the happy winners who will be traveling to South Africa to represent Beit Shemesh and Yehuda Plains!
