Recently, the new P2K student leadership participants met for their first time!
The participants learn leadership, volunteer in the community and earn a scholarship!
Over the past few months the students went through a process of sorting and out of over 70 candidates 15 young students from Beit Shemesh and Mateh Yehuda area where chosen to participate in this unique program.
The "Student Leadership" program has been operating for 10 years in Partnership 2000, by the Education and Youth subcommittee.
The program is divided in to two: educational work and volunteer work.
The educational part is a course that combines leadership development, knowledge and skills that contain: Judaism, Zionism, Israel society, social awareness and involvement, professional skills and tools for public speech, leadership styles, application ways and more…
The volunteer work is done in a youth club for underprivileged children from poverty neighborhoods in Beit Shemesh. In return for the hours of volunteering and studying the participants get a scholarship in sum of: $1,500
An important note is that beyond the financial help that the scholarship provides, P2K sees the programs alumni as an opening for communication and connection with our joint communities through meetings with incoming missions that come to our region.
We hope that by the end of this year the programs graduates will be the center of leaders and volunteers in the region and in P2K.
This year, for the first time P2K decided to cooperate with a company called "Mashkuchit" the company was established by a team of top organizational consultants and educators in 2003, with the objectives of leading unique educational, social and organizational programs and training workshops.
Mashkuchit's mission is to develop professional leadership in both an individual and a group/team setting. Mashkuchit promotes organizational, personal and group empowerment by providing management and guidance skill set trainings and workshops.
