For the second year in succession, as part of Partnership 2000 Beit Shemesh - Mateh Yehuda - Washington - South Africa of the Jewish Agency's Living Bridge program, students from class 9a at Ein Kerem Regional Experimental School are working with their counterparts from Herzliyah School in Cape Town, South Africa.
The connection is based on the study of joint subjects, video conferences between the teachers, and correspondence and Skype chats between the students. In addition, the two teachers who are supporting the project - Devora Segev and Ruti Goldstein - visited South Africa in the summer and met the teachers and students on the project there.

On Tuesday October 12th, 2010 Mr. Jeff Cohen, principal of Herzliyah School and director of all Jewish schools in Cape Town, visited Ein Kerem School.
During the visit Jeff met the students of class 9a who looked forward excitedly to the encounter. Jeff told the students about Cape Town, the school and their colleagues with whom they are in contact there.

Later, Jeff toured our school and the farm. The visit left us with a taste for more and we look forward to further visits and even stronger ties.
We hope that this is the start of a wonderful friendship, and a closer relationship with the students and teachers of the school.
