On Thursday 7.7.11 a group of Jewish youths, all members of the Habonim youth movement, visited Be'er Hatikva in Ramat Beit Shemesh.
The children at the summer camp, which is run at Be'er Hatikva by Gil Karasanti, the person behind the founding of the facility, prepared activity stations around the well compound in advance.
The stations included: placing wood reeds in a fence, building benches of tires, cooking field dishes, tree planting, painting, introduction games and building a terrace.
The group from South Africa divided into 8 smaller groups and passed through all the stations where they enjoyed the activities together with the summer camp children.
Gil Karasanti said about the visit:
"The wonderful Be'er Hatikva children welcomed the mission warmly. Together, they combined forces and built a terrace, planted trees, ate pitta bread they made in a tabun oven and enjoyed shared experiences which they will take with them into the future lives. We were delighted to have the opportunity to be reminded that there are brothers around the world."
