The Jewish Agency’s Partnership2gether marked the arrival of new volunteers, and the departure of longstanding outgoing volunteers, with a festive event
Last Thursday, Pizhunka restaurant at Ness Harim hosted a celebratory event at which the Jewish Agency’s Partnership2gether said goodbye to another group of volunteers who served it over a long period of time, and took in a new group of volunteers.
The outgoing volunteers worked in a number of areas of Partnership’s activities, including: incoming missions, outgoing missions, Gesher Hai (Living Bridge) between Communities etc. The event was attended by Beit Shemesh and Mateh Yehuda Partnership director Gideon Vennor, Partnership chairman Gideon Even-Ari and Rucu Soffer, representatives of the partner communities from Washington and South Africa, and guests of honor: former Prime Minister’s Office director general Raanan Dinor, who heads the Israel 15 venture; JNF deputy chairman Gael Greenwald, and Gesher director Ilan Gael-Dor. All three are residents of Beit Shemesh. The Partnership proudly noted that the volunteers represent the full range of residents of Beit Shemesh and Mateh Yehuda - religious, secular, ultra-orthodox, women, men, immigrants, veteran Israelis, kibbutzniks, residents of moshavim etc.
