TU B'SHVAT SEDER FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE OCEAN - SPONSORED BY THE JEWISH AGENCY AND STRAUSS DAIRIES

TU B'SHVAT SEDER FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE OCEAN - SPONSORED BY THE JEWISH AGENCY AND STRAUSS DAIRIES

The view from Carmiel-Misgav
Carmiel and Misgav's youth councils met this last Sunday for a TU-B'SHVAT Seder together with Pittsburgh's youth council.

This event is part of the joint activities between the youth in Carmiel, Misgav and Pittsburgh, within the Jewish Agency's "Partnership 2000" program.

The event took place via video conference, courtesy of Straus dairies, who donated their conference room for the event. After getting to know one another, from both sides of the globe, the seder began. It included reading, singing TU B'SHVAT songs and eating a lot of dried fruit.

This is the first mutual activity for all of the involved youth councils, who hope to joint up again and initiate united programs for all youth. In Pittsburgh, the youth council is an initiative of Molly Ainsman, daughter of David & Meril Ainsman, the coming co- chairs of P2K in Pittsburgh.
