To our dear friends and partners,
Today is Wednesday, the 29th day of the war. If we thought that things had quieted down then yesterday and today emphasized and provided further reminder that we are still in a state of war.
Yesterday two Fajr-3-230 medium-range missiles fell on the outskirts of Karmiel, and although they fell on the far edge of the city, their explosions were heard throughout. These missiles carry a larger warhead and therefore greater explosive power than the traditional Katyusha rockets. Miraculously they did not reach the city thereby preventing serious damage and injuries.
Nonetheless, three Katyusha rockets did fall in Karmiel today; fortunately two did not explode causing only minor damage. A water main exploded. Repair personnel from the city's Water Department set out immediately to repair the damage and restore full water supply to the city.

Adi Eldar convened a meeting in the city's command post with school principals and others to discuss the opening of the coming school year. The mayor will raise various issues related to the state of war and possible routines in an effort to examine the possibilities stemming from any number of situations.

Throughout the day numerous alerts were heard and city employees (who had be authorized to return to work) migrated between their offices and secure rooms since no one was willing to take any unnecessary risks, especially in light of the latest missiles falling on Karmiel.
In Misgav, the "State of Emergency" continues and with it efforts to organize for the coming days, particularly the opening of the upcoming school year.

In an effort to relieve stress and tensions in the shelters, David Broza and Karen Ann provided a special performance for Misgav residents in shelters located in the region's northern communities.
Broza who since the beginning of the war has volunteered to perform in dozens of shelters throughout the north sang for more than an hour before a "captive" audience in Tuval before moving on to Gilon and Tsurit. His performance included many songs from his extensive repertoire, including a number of his Spanish hits. Broza surprised his audience when he invited Karen Ann, the French-Israeli performer to sing with him a number of his songs. The duet also performed together a number of Ann's works.
Yuval Danieli, the community center's cultural director reported that more than 150 Misgav residents enjoyed the two performances. Beth Isaacs, a resident of Tuval said, "Broza and the singer who came with him, Karen Ann gave us an amazing performance, the simply warmed our hearts and certainly, yes most certainly helped to bring joy to the communities' residents and raise their morale."
That's all for today, let us pray that quiet will be restored and peace and security will return to the region and the country.
Sincerely yours,
