The "P2K Riders" is a regional initiative within the Karmiel-Misgav-Pittsburgh Partnership 2000 framework of the Jewish Agency. The program seeks to promote and expand the circles of children and young people actively cycling as part of a healthy lifestyle and culture.
Within the project's framework, a number of cycling camping sessions were conducted to provide the children with basic cycling skills. At the conclusion of three weeks of activities, a joint special event was conducted on the P2K Bike Trail, in which a group of 14 children from Karmiel and Misgav participated. The cyclists departed from the trail's starting point in Karmiel and headed down the Hilazon Stream riverbed until the conclusion of this segment next to the Misgav community of Shorashim.

According to Benny Lahat, the cycling coach in charge of the program, “The trail we took was challenging and not at all simple; however, the children demonstrated extraordinary cycling skills and endurance. At a number of stops along the route-, we repaired some flat tires, bandaged simple wounds and enjoyed a wonderful picnic under a giant carob tree. The children all enjoyed a particularly enjoyable and consolidating group activity".
