Partnership 2Gether for the Karmiel - Misgav Region wishes to welcome its 275 guests from its Pittsburgh partner community during their June 20 -22 visit to the region within the framework of the Mega Mission to celebrate a centennial of the United Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.
This very varied mission composed of children age 8 to adults in their 80s, those for whom this is their very first visit to Israel, P2G activists who have visited Israel and the region dozens of times, people coming on their own and others with their entire families.
The excitement in the region is tremendous; this is the largest mission ever to come from Pittsburgh since the partnership's creation in 1995. The mission's varied schedule will include numerous regional attractions, cycling tours of the P2K Trail, Israeli folk dancing with thousands of participants along the "Boulevard" in Karmiel, a special "Israeli Evening" for hundreds of guests and their Israeli hosts as well as the unveiling of the "Apartment for Rent" sculpture in Karmiel's Family Park, etc.
We aim to "match" every American family with a local Israeli family that will establish an advance relationship prior to their arrival and await their visit to the region.
