Harold R. Kutner, General Motors vice president in charge of Worldwide Purchasing and North American Production Control and Logistics, visited Israel in July on the invitation of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and Partnership 2000.
During his six-day visit to Israel, Mr. Kutner, accompanied by his wife Judy, met with many automotive and high-tech incubator executives throughout the country including UMI-GM, Taditel, Ortal, Elbit and Tadir-Gan, Ltd. The business meetings proved to be fruitful, and new business relationships were created and possible new business ventures will begin in the future. Mr. Kutner also met privately with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Industry & Trade, M.K. Natan Sharansky.
Mr. & Mrs. Kutner also took time to enjoy some historical sites in Israel such as visiting Massada, Independence Hall and Zippori.
Accompanying the Kutners on their trip were John Stiles, Executive Director of Worldwide Purchasing--Metallic, Joel Tauber, and Doug Bloom, Partnership 2000 Co-Chairman.
