As part of a continuing tradition from last year, a second Youth Futures regional study day was held in Central Galilee at Jezreel Valley College. The goal of the study day was to collectively think about Youth Futures realities on the ground and how to advance and deepen the program. No less important, this was an opportunity to extend our thanks and recognition to all those who take part in the program: Teaching staffs, school principals, treatment staffs, psychological services and social welfare agencies, the community center, heads of municipal education departments, and, of course, the contributors and program teams in the region and at Jewish Agency headquarters.
Attending the gathering were Migdal HaEmek mayor Mr. Eli Barda; Vice-president of the IDB group Mr. Ari Rabed; director of Jezreel Valley College, Yoram Raz; heads of education departments Danny Gilden, Eti Sperling, and Ilanit Ben-Yishai; director of the Migdal HaEmek social welfare department Momi Ben-Simon; Ministry of Education supervisor Mr. Gad Amiel; and principals and teaching staffs of the partner schools.
The day's agenda included a reception, greetings, a delicious lunch, and a fascinating session with Yuval Dor, By Way of the Heart - Communication That Brings People Closer.
The day concluded with round table discussions aimed at sharing ideas and learning, and was a great success! See you next year.
