On Monday, February 23rd 2009, the Principal of "Shaarei Shamayim" School in NENY, Lee Braiss, came for a visit at Eshkol Regional Council. Sarah Turgemann, an English teacher from "Yuvalei Habessor" School generously hosted Lee in her home. The second day started with Rosh Chodesh Adar Festivals at "No'am" School in Yevul. From there, we went on, together with Ephraim Perlmutter and Mia Bone, to the Steel Monument, from where we observed the triple frontier - Egypt, Israel, Gaza.
We visited "Yuvalei Habessor" School where we met Sarah's pupils who were really excited about Lee Braiss' visit. The class showed great interest in "Shaarei Shamayim" School and in NENY in general. Similar questions were of interest for the 7th grade pupils from "Ma'ale Habessor" School, which we visited afterwards.
Finally, together with Moshe Morag, we visited the new school site and saw the progress made in its construction.
I hope that by the end of such a wonderful day we accomplished our major goal - creating new bonds.
Good luck!
