On Thursday, December 24, 2009, Susan and Martin Farber, two members of the Northeast New York Federation visited the council.

The visit began with the Tel Jima observation point led by Efraim Pelmutter, Chair of the Gesher LeKesher Partnership 2000 committee. After that, we visited the Nofei Habesor School and its new youth facility.

Adva  Portal Cohen, Director of the Youth Division, outlined the agenda for the new facility to us. In addition, Marty and Susan met with the adult counselors.

The next day we began the tour of the observation point from the steel monument and then continued on to Halutziot where we met with Mindy Tzur, Mindy's parents, and her family who all live in Northeast New York, so it was a very emotional meeting.

To round off the visit we went for a meal with different sorts of cheeses at Zela's goat farm.

Also at the meal were Haim Yellin, Ravit Ohayun, Michal, the Partnership Director, and committee members.
It was a wonderful visit and we invite others to visit us as well.
