In the past year, youth from Eshkol played an active part, together with Partnership 2000, in planning, receiving and hosting pupils from Jewish schools in Mexico.
The young people from moshavim and kibbutzim in Eshkol divided into work groups and prepared introductory activities on the topics of Israel, the army, Eshkol, Partnership 2000, the Jewish Agency and more.
In July, pupils from five schools in Mexico arrived in Eshkol: Yiddische Schule, Tarbut, the Sephardic school, Magen David and Atid.
They were hosted at Beit Mexico in Kibbutz Gvulot.
The Eshkol youth presented the activities that they had planned themselves, and together they continued to an educational evening at Mitzpe Gvulot, where they learned about the early settlement in the outpost and made dinner for themselves.
All the encounters were excellent, and warm ties were formed between the young people. Finally, all of the participants were given Partnership 2000 shirts.
