Members of the steering committee and the head of the Eshkol Regional Council congratulate Daniel Liwerant on receiving the prestigious "Human Rights Award" from B'nai B'rith Mexico for his outstanding contribution towards cultural understanding of the different aspects regarding the various Latin American Jewish communities, for his leadership of the Mexican Jewish community, and for establishing the Liwerant Center for the Study of Latin American Jews at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Daniel's tremendous support of the partnership that has been created between the Eshkol community and the Mexican Jewish community on the basis of "Jewish peoplehood," and the faith Daniel shows in promoting projects, both large and small, to reinforce the connection to places and people for the young people on both sides of the partnership.  For all of the above we send our warmest wishes for many more years of joint activity.
