Last Sunday, teens from the YP2K and Summer Camps program got together for a unique experience - a joint Hannukah Party with their peers in Pinellas County Florida.
This special party took place using Skype technology and began with lighting candles together (4th candle in Florida, 5th in Israel - time difference…) followed by a competition - 'Who wants to be a millionaire' - about Hanukkah - between the Israeli and the American groups.
Next was a conversation in small groups between the teens. Their goal was to find out as many details about each other. They asked about hobbies, favorite holidays, TV shows and more…
At the conclusion of the party, the Israeli teens sang a Hanukah song to their peers, who countered with the English version of the song.
Hag Sameach!
