PREPARATORY SESSION FOR ISRAELI PARTICIPANTS

Time: 15 mins

Trigger (2 mins):
Explain what Aj6 stands for.

Ask the question: "Why do you think an Association for Jewish Sixthformers was founded?"

Aj6 (10 mins)

History - Give explanation

Ask them the following questions after explanation:

1) What year was Aj6 founded? 1977
2) Which school were we founded in? Carmel College
3) What was our primary aim to start with? Fighting the war against Zionism
4) Where is our Office based? Hillel House, Euston, London
5) How old is Aj6? 23 years old

Read through the sheet on Aj6. Each person to read about a different part of Aj6.

Add in information about schools work and it's impact

Structure

Give explanation: Tell them about the structure the names of all the office staff and of a few exec members.

Explain what peer leadership is and that Aj6 is a peer led organisation.

Link this in with Va'adot on tour.

For those tours that require Va'adot forms to be filled in this is a good juncture to do it!! ( 3 mins )
