Anva Bergman, Daniel Cohen, Itamar Gur Lavi and Yuval Gur, residents of Ma'ale Yosef, joined 40 British youth who arrived in the country for the three week Maccabi and Hanoar Hatzioni Israel Tour.
During the days and weeks of travel and sport activities, the regional youth brought true Israeli spirit into the bus. The youngsters said that beyond the fun, they got to know Israel in a new and deeper manner. After such a Tour they felt more Israeli and much more pride.

The highlight of the encounter was the stay of the British youth in the Ma'ale Yosef region. The hanichim from the UK enjoyed the warm, loving hospitality of their hosts and during the visit they learned about life in a moshav, went to the 2006 abduction point of the Israeli soldiers and enjoyed the beauty of the Galilee.
Sarai Touval from the English Speakers' Division of Israel Experience commented:
" I think it was a very successful year. The hanichim mentioned that the hospitality of the families was one of the most significant experiences of the tour.

The short break of daily routine and their arrival in warm and welcoming homes gave them a sense of home and a deeper understanding of Israeli society and the Partnership region.
No doubt that Daniel, Itamar, Yuval and Anava's contribution was very significant. The group really bonded and created strong relations with the British hanichim."
