A regional sports day was held last Wednesday in Netanya, with the participation of 12 Aharai groups from all over the Sharon area in central Israel.  

And who won first prize? Our group, combined of 26 youngsters taking part in our two Aharai programs, preparing young boys and girls for a meaningful military service, including Aharai La'Derech (Aharai for the road) – comprised of youth from Ethiopian descent. 

It was such a pleasure watching the youth competing together! The Aharai Director told us that combining efforts between these two groups in such an early stage of the program is quite rare. We are so proud of our children! 

One of the means to that great spirit was the effort of two young girls from the Ethiopian Community, participating in one of the groups. They prepared banners, brought musical instruments and composed cheering songs for the groups.  

The atmosphere was fantastic, and, as mentioned: we won the first place!
