 Music Festival in Kfar-Saba
10.5.2009

Dear Friends,

Kfar-Saba has a wonderful yearly celebration "Noshfim Bakikar", a wind instruments festival for youth orchestras.

Yesterday, this wonderful tradition, taking place for the 20th year, brought tens of thousands of music lovers to the central town plaza.

Kfar-Saba is proud of its music heritage, and this year all the players at the closing event were from Kfar-Saba.

The three days music celebration began with several orchestras playing with string instruments ensembles in the pedestrian zone in mid town. There was a special concert targeting young children played by the Yuval Center orchestra in Haifa, with explanations, to draw the attention of the next generation of music lovers.

The first day ended with an open concert in the main Kfar-Saba hall, with the participation of the National Youth Orchestra and the Tel-Aviv Music Academy Orchestra.

The second day a marathon of youth orchestras took place, as well as jazz and improvisation workshops.

This extraordinary event concluded with a concert played by about 500 musicians – all from Kfar-Saba, including 80 young musicians constituting the Kfar-Saba Municipal Orchestra, singers, solo guitarists and saxophone players. It ended with 1812, obviously with a spectacular display of fireworks.

Every year we wait for this unique celebration. We invite you all to attend and enjoy it with us.
