Visit at the Beit Yerach High School
As part of the Garon family's stay in Israel for the past few months, Stacy and Jon Garon of St. Paul arrived for a visit to the Partnership. The Garon family has been staying in the Jerusalem region and in Haifa, where the father was invited to lecture at the School of Law for a short course he was giving.
The family's members visited a number of Jewish Agency programs in Israel and in this regard, visited Sovev Kinneret, St. Paul's partner region. Jon, a professor of law, is active in the Jewish Federation of Greater St. Paul.
While in the Partnership region, the family met with Doron Lev, Chair of the Israeli Steering Committee, Max Hassin, head of the Business 2 Business task force, and Natan Gevan, a longstanding participant in Partnership 2000 activities. They paid a visit to Beit Yerach School in the Jordan Valley, met a chef who visited the communities, and, to finish things off, 'sweetened' the visit with a chocolate workshop at the Galita chocolate factory. The visit took place on May 19, 2009.
