As in every year, the Joint Steering Committee convened and was attended by representatives from the partner communities. This year, despite the economic challenges and difficulties facing the communities, we arrived at joint decisions and approved next year's budget and programs to the satisfaction of all.
On this occasion we were graced by the presence of Ms. Raya Strauss Ben-Dror,
Partnership 2000 co-chair, Ms. Andrea Arbel, Director of the Jewish Agency Partnerships Division, and Damon Rose, Israel Department Northern District Partnerships Director.

We started off our gathering with a guided tour of the Yigal Allon Museum on Kibbutz Ginosar. When the tour was over, we held a discussion of expectations and challenges facing us on both sides of the ocean.
On Monday evening we were hosted at Kibbutz Ashdot Yakov, where we toured a classic kibbutz, took part in an arts workshop, and finished off with supper. During supper, we thanked the outgoing Cluster Chair, Mr. Ron Matz of St. Paul, and welcomed incoming Chair, Mr. Moshe Katz of Milwaukee.
During the Joint Steering Committee, members officially parted and thanked Karel Glazer, who has concluded her term at Sovev Kinneret and has begun working with the Nesher-Broward County partnership.
