Partnership 2000 and the Jewish Federation of SPBC expressed gratitude to Dr. Rafi Wertheim, outgoing Mayor of Kiryat Bialik

Eshel Fram, Jewish Agency's partnership director of Kiryat Bialik and SPBC, met with Dr Rafi Wertheim, who recently completed his term as Kiryat Bialik's mayor. Mr. Fram conveyed to Dr. Wertheim his appreciation as well as that of SPBC's Jewish Federation leaders, for his ongoing support and cooperation with the partnership staff as well as the lay leaders on both sides of the ocean. Gidi Shilo, P2K Steering Committee chair for KB, who was unable to attend, also sent warm thanks to Dr. Wertheim and wished him success in his future endeavors.

During his five years as mayor, Dr. Wertheim always welcomed and supported P2K projects and activities. He developed warm friendly relationships with many in Boca and particularly with Mr. Bill Bernstein, Jewish Federation president and CEO, with whom he spoke almost every day during the 2nd Lebanon War. Mr. Stewart Harris, Chairman of the board, and Mr. Steve Winig, P2K committee chair who promoted the big economic development project in KB, also consider Dr. Wertheim a personal friend.

Mr. Fram presented Dr. Wertheim with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Federation and the Jewish Agency. Dr. Wertheim, deeply moved and grateful, expressed his confidence that the partnership will continue to flourish and said that he would be happy to continue contributing to its success.
