Ari ran the ING New York City Marathon and raised money for Yeshivat Hesder Nahar-Deiah in Nahariya, in the framework of the Jewish Agency's Partnership 2000 project which connects Nahariya and Northern New Jersey through a wide variety of activities.

Women's Literary Club

Two book clubs focusing on The Feminine Voice in Literature and Poetry have been launched in Nahariya and Northern New Jersey. The groups engage in joint book readings and discuss the books under the guidance of a professional facilitator. more

An Auspicious Beginning

The cornerstone was laid for the protected Department of Emergency Medicine of Western Galilee Hospital. Participating in the ceremony were President Shimon Peres, Health Minister Ya'acov Ben-Yizri, Jewish Agency Chairman Ze'ev Bielski, and Avraham Presler, representative of the Claims Conference, together with the hospital's director Dr. Masad Barhoum. more

Young Leadership

The screening process culminated in the selection of 35 religious and secular eleventh graders from Nahariya for participation in the Young Leadership project. This is the second group to take part in the program, which is run jointly by Partnership 2000, the Amal School, and the Nahar-Deiah Hesder Yeshiva. more
