The Joint Steering Committee meets for the first time:

The Nesher Steering Committee joined Broward County Steering Committee in Broward County to meet for the first time as a Joint Steering Committee and to get aquatinted and discuss the goals of the partnership.

Many new and exciting ideas were brought to the table that are based on establishing people to people relationships. People to people programs are an integral part of the partnership and this new partnership will focus on strengthening communities and leadership through common dialogue between youth, lay leaders, and professionals.

One of the most important issues that were relevant to the entire group was to focus on making Israel central to an individual's Jewish identity. The meetings were very productive, and both communities are looking forward to the many interesting prospects for this new partnership for ensuring its success.

The goal of both communities is to have a better understanding of one another and work together.
