The course, which began in July, involves about thirty women. The activity is divided into three main topics: 1.
Year of Service
After a successful year of service in the Metro-West community, the shaliach Manny Ohanah returned to Israel.
The Cherkassy Delegation 2006
This year two counselors from Ofakim, together with three more American counselors, went as the delegation to Cherkassy, headed by Alona Nir, the youth shlicha from Metro-West.
Kefiada 2006
In June, six counselors from MetroWest came to our region. The summer camp was very successful, and during its session the participants visited the Meimadion, the Luna Park and Cinema City.
Policemen's Delegation 2006
Following the successful hosting of the sheriffs' delegation from New Jersey by the Ofakim Police Department, policemen from Ofakim received an invitation to be hosted in New Jersey.
Mifgash Delegation
The first part of the Mifgash project took place this year in Israel.
Kushner Delegation
A delegation from the Kushnir School in New Jersey was hosted for four days by young people from the girls' religious high school Ayelet Hashachar and the boys' yeshiva high school, Afikei Eretz.
Neshama Delegation
This joint delegation from the regional high school in Merhavim and the Solomon Schechter School in New Jersey visited for three days at the Nitzana Youth Village, and, afterwards, stayed for Shabbat
Otzmah Delegation
This year for the first time three young women arrived in Ofakim-Merhavim for the Otzmah Project.
Living Bridge Review
By the Living Bridge coordinator (Cochi Abouharon) Between June 2005 - July 2006, a number of delegations have visited our region.
