Ramat Hanegev is a leader from the viewpoint of sustainable development.

The Ramat Hanegev Regional Council, together with the Ministry for Environmental Protection, the Israel Nature & Parks Authority, the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel, the regional councils of Eilot and Arava Tichona and the Jewish National Fund (JNF), gathered to launch the "Genesis Wilderness" project. These are lands which the abovementioned parties all agreed should remain for the future generations exactly as we've been privileged to have
them.

These are the special landscapes of the Israeli Negev desert that also serve as a tremendous resource for the development of tourism in the region.
