Mayor Shmuel Rifman and Yankele Moskowitz, managing director of the Center for Agricultural Research and Development, recently returned from an official visit to Vietnam.
There it was decided to expand the agricultural cooperation between Ramat Hanegev and Vietnam and to advance joint programs valued at around $1 million.
The deputy-mayor of Saigon and the country's minister of agriculture expressed the high regard the
Vietnamese people have for their close relations with Ramat Hanegev and reiterated the impact these ties have already had on promoting relations between Vietnam and the State of Israel.
Through this Ramat Hanegev – Vietnamese cooperation, around 120 Vietnamese students come to our region for a 10-month study period to learn and attain professional experience in the practical and technological applications of agriculture.
