Heads of delegations from the U.S. and Canada were recent guests in Ramat Hanegev.
The aim of the visit was to introduce them to the Ramat Hanegev region as an attractive destination of visiting delegations from North American Jewish communities.
We wanted to show them that Zionism and modern-day pioneering are right here, in the Negev.
Our guests enjoyed a hands-on tour that featured a visit to Nitzana, bicycle-riding, meeting new immigrants and visiting a family farm and a winery.
In the evening they were taken to Shivta to an event that was all about enjoyment and ambiance, including music performed by Ramat Negev's own "Jezzert" jazz band, a walking tour of the ancient
city with paths illuminated by burning torches, and culminating in a special dinner with the mayor of the council.
The next day, after touring Kibbutz Mashabei Sadeh, the group visited the Ramat Negev Center for Agricultural Research and Development, concluding their visit at the Ben-Gurion tomb at Kibbutz Sde Boker.
The feedback we've received has been excellent, and we're already handling inquiries from various communities interested in having a similar tour in the Negev as part of their next trip to Israel.
