Iowa Teacher Delegation Meets Counterparts in Western Galilee
A Letter from Stacie Franklin of Des Moines Iowa who participated in a Teacher Delegation to the Western Galilee.

The Rainbow Arch, Western Galilee.
All the teachers in the delegation are twined with teachers in Akko and Mateh Asher municipalities. (Stacie brought her son Jeremy with her)

Jeremy and I had a fantastic trip to Israel 12/23/03 - 1/6/04! We toured Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Galilee and Golan Heights. We met with many wonderful Israeli teachers and students in Akko and Nahariya, climbed mount Massada, floated in the Dead Sea (with a little MAD magazine reading), and visited Kibbutz Tzorah where I used to live the last time I was in Israel, 20 years ago. We had a very safe and fun time experiencing true Israeli culture and getting to know the people of Israel. Jeremy had a special prayer by a Rabbi at the Western Wall in preparation for his Bar Mitzvah on June 12. Each day was a great adventure and experience.

Best wishes to you for a terrific 2004 with much happiness and peace throughout the world.
Stacie
