This Saturday night: Violinists from Western Galilee in concert at DAI
In conjunction with the Jewish Federation's Partnership with Israel program, student violinists with the Keshet Eilon Music Center and Mastercourse will perform in the NCR Auditorium of the Dayton Art Institute on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. The concert is the first in the Jewish Federation's new Partnership Cultural Arts Series.
Located at Kibbutz Eilon in Israel's Western Galilee region, Keshet Eilon nurtures and advances gifted young violinists from Israel and around the world. Under the patronage of violinist Shlomo Mintz, the center also offers its students instruction in archery, workshops in violin and bow-making, and physiotherapy.
Partnership With Israel links Jewish communities worldwide with regions in Israel to create people-to-people relationships between Israeli and Diaspora Jews. Concert tickets are $18. For reservations, call Shelly Sherman at 610-1555 ext. 111. Tickets are also available at the door.
