Many Purim greetings from Jewish families in North West Indiana were sent to Israeli soldiers with Mishlochei Manot. "We wish you and happy Purim - Our thoughts are with you for the service you are giving to your country. We are proud of you! Be safe and let there be SHALOM" was written in one of the greetings.
For the second year in a row the Jewish Community of North West Indiana has been fundraising also for Mishlochei Manot for IDF soldiers.
North West Indiana, who also has a twin-connection with the Hofei HaGalil elementary school in Kibbutz Gesher Haziv, asked the teacher, Nili, if her class would be willing to pack the Mishlochei Manot on behalf of their Jewish Community and pass them on to IDF soldiers. Nili and her students were honored to do so, carried out this task with great joy and loved the meeting with the fortune soldiers! The kids also added personal blessings for the soldiers.
The young students and Nili are excited about their connection with the Jewish Community in North West Indiana and look very much forward to host the Beth El congregation members from North West Indiana, who in another two weeks will visit the Western Galilee and their school for a day.
