Yuta Muati and Anat Barbi represented Weizmann School from Akko in the Hanukah 2010 educational delegation sent by the Jewish Agency's Partnership 2000 Western Galilee. Their twinned school is Lippman School, with which they have been in good and extensive contact for four years.

Both schools send each other greeting cards and letters every holiday and encourage a wide variety of artistic activities surrounding the holidays.

This year following the visit, during which Israeli teachers delivered different workshops and activities on the inner light at the twinned school, the schools decided to expand their scope of activity and suggested new initiatives to strengthen their mutual connection.

This year additional new projects will be initiated by both sides:

1. Jointly choosing a topic for an annual scientific research. For this year the topic of researching water resources has been selected. As the topic of water resources is the first national and educational priority, it has been decided that this topic will be researched at both Weizmann and Lippman. The research will begin with an examination of the resources of drinking water in both countries, following which it will focus on water resources in the proximity of the homes of the children from both sides (using video clips, photographs, work sheets and more).

2. Quality of the Environment: The school will focus on the quality of the environment and the personal responsibility of each child for his or her close and distant environments. Next Tu Bishvat the two schools will draw trees and write proverbs that relate to trees. The trees will then be sent to the twinned school, where they will be hung at a section dedicated to the quality of the environment.
The constant contact with Lippman School has been preserved also owing to the students' delegation that visits Weizmann School every year in May and enjoys an impressive and warm hospitality.
