Another connection created between Hofei Hagalil (Matte Asher) and Elinor Academy (San Antonio)
Hofei Hagalil School has been working with Partnership 2000 for several years to create unique and creative projects to strengthen connections with Jewish students in the Partnership communities.

In recent years they have created several projects focusing on a map of Israel displaying selected sites in the country, and have even created a school map for anyone who enters the school premises.

Last year they arranged with the help of the Partnership communities rich and unique Mishloachei Manot for IDF soldiers, which comprised candies and letters from the school students and the communities.

This year we have seen correspondence between Hofei Hagalil and Elinor Academy in San Antonio. Last Hanukah Revital Ofek, the school principal, and Nili Tishler, a school educator, visited San Antonio to strengthen and enhance the twinning connection.

Nili and Revital met with the educational staff at the twinned school, and together they decided to start two projects to be implemented during the upcoming years. One was related to Tu Bishvat and would include creative ways of addressing environment protection; this topic is very relevant to Hofei Hagalil as it is considered to be a green school. The other project would focus on the Israeli Independence Day - our flagship project.
