On September 26th, 2006 Sixty Young Leadership Council Ben Gurion Society members gathered at the Atlanta’s Selig Center to meet Israeli Consul General REDA MANSOUR and make their commitments to the 2007 Campaign for Community Needs. Over $26,000 was raised with a 28% gift-for-gift increase. One might modestly link such a success to one of the evening’s highlights - a video vignette produced by Yokneam-Megiddo volunteers and your humble servant.
The clip depicts the heartiness and the sincere spirit of solidarity and mutual support of Yokneam-Megiddo residents within the broad context of the War in Lebanon. The movie includes interviews with the Mayors, volunteers and other people of a good will who opened their hearts and homes to absorb the refugees from the North.

The creation of the clip would not be possible without the inventive, skillful and hard working professional director AVISHAY CASPI, who happens to be a volunteer on the Yokneam-Megiddo Kesher (Living Bridge) Committee. Avishay has generously volunteered to direct the clip and all of us do appreciate his efforts.

Speaking of volunteering, the dubbing of the interviewees was also offered as a gig for the local P2K activists and their proficiency, as amateur as it is, shall be judged by the viewers. Special thanks are also extended to the Community Video Studios of Yokneam and Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek that agreed to provide the relevant video material and the essential technical support for the project.
