On Wednesday, October 7, over 20 volunteers (many from WUJS-World Union of Jewish Students) made their Sukkot experience more meaningful by spending day in Beer Sheva cleaning up a downtrodden neighborhood and greening the community by building a "separation center" to separate all different kinds of garbage- metal, wood, paper, electronics. The group also planted vegetable seedlings in the local communal garden.

This was all done in cooperation with the Kamah Young Community, which strengthens Israel's outlying regions by choosing to stay in the periphery and initiate various social actions in their local environment. The community initiated the communal garden for the benefit of the local residents and in order to educate and raise the awareness for rehabilitating and preserving the local environment.
