Chovat Hatalmidim: Message to Teachers and Parents (06)

That being the case, the educational process is different for each child. The educator must take into account factors such as the child's personality, cognitive skills, behavior, etc. He needs to tune himself into each pupil's strengths and abilities, and personalize his message to each pupil in accord with the relevant differences between them. King Solomon hinted at this when he wrote, "educate the child in accord with his inclinations" - every child in accord with his own inclinations.

We have not intended in what we have written above to offer advice on "pedagogy" - the art of teaching curriculum. Rather, our intention is to help the educator go beyond the pupil's brain and to reach him in his entirety - including his spirit and soul - with the goal of cultivating the child as a God-fearing Jew who seeks constant spiritual growth.
