In practice, however, today's youth follow their emotions at an early, such that we cannot wait for the gradual evolution along the ideal path of Mitzvah performance. If we don't excite the children with Mitzvoth at an early age, they will find excitement via the vain pleasures which the world has to offer; then we will be unable to hold onto them via cold logic. We need to penetrate their souls and excite them, such that they sense even a bit of attachment to the Godly light, and subsequently yearn for further attachment.
