The Net@ Beer Sheva participants in a joint picture with the children from “Beit Hagalgalim”

1st year Net@ program participants throughout Israel have begun their annual volunteer project

As part of Net@ program’s long tradition of undertaking voluntary projects for wellbeing of the community, also this year, 9th grade participants took part in the Yozma (Initiative) program, and together with the social instructors they planned and prepared a voluntary project.

The Net@ center in Beer Sheva held a joint activity with children from the “Beit Hagalgalim” organization. The “Beit Hagalgalim” organization has been assisting children and adults suffering from Cerebral Palsy, muscular dystrophy, and other diseases since 1979. Most of these children live with their parents, require constant physical care and rarely leave their homes due to accessibility problems and lack of suitable frameworks. Net@ participants worked with the children on disassembling and assembling computers, and instructed them about computer parts. Since the project was successful, and the children responded enthusiastically, we have decided to continue the project. The children from “Beit Hagalgalim” will visit again soon and learn about network cables.

Next week, the Net@ Beit She’an program will launch their first community project – an open market for the summer vacation. The residents of the Dalet Neighborhood in Beit She’an will be able to enjoy the market in which cloths and other apparel will be sold, along with refreshments and cold beverages, and even popcorn. Nobody will remain hungry. Everyone is invited to the event that will take place on June 18.6 in Beit She’an at 17:00, in the Gimel Neighborhood community center.
