The regional instructor meeting at Net@ Sderot – a rock and roll atmosphere
The “secret ingredient” that makes the Net@ such an influential and high quality program is its team of instructors. Each month, Net@ has regional meetings in southern and northern Israel. The goal of these meetings is to improve the instructors’ professional skills and integrate them into a group that studies jointly. The location of these training seminars alternates between the Net@ centers in order to enable the entire staff of instructors to learn about the towns in which Net@ operates and include excursions to important sites in each town.

The May meeting of the southern region was held in the Net@ center in Sderot. The instructors receive an update on future plans and prepared for their final meetings with the participants before the summer vacation. Zohar Nehushtan, the Net@ instructor in Be’er Sheva and Dimona led the activities. As part of their meeting, the instructors visited “Sderock” – a basement that consists of three units in which the Sderot youth can rehearse, listen to music, and practice playing instruments for free. The instructors received an explanation about the establishment of this center and also had the opportunity to sing and participate in jam sessions. It was real fun!
