The visitors planted the trees with the help of the Youth Futures children and trustees
The New York Federation Caring Commission visited several Jewish Agency program sites during their recent trip to Israel, including Youth Futures and Atidim in Be'er Sheva.
During the visit the group planted five trees at a local Be'er Sheva school with the help of local Youth Futures trustees and participants. They were offered gifts of dried fruit to commemorate the upcoming Tu'Bishvat holiday, and played a game in which the Atidim participants compared their life goals and aspirations with those of the caring commission participants.
In addition, the group participated in several dynamic discussions with Leah Golan, the Director General of the Israel Department at the Jewish Agency for Israel.

There were five different kinds of trees planted.

This is the plaque placed beside the five trees planted in commemoration of the Caring Commission's visit.
