A leadership year, capping off 3 years of participation in Net@, ended with an especially moving ceremony. In their fourth year, program graduates mentor younger participants and, orchestrate volunteer activities in their local communities.
The 4th year participants, hailing from various Net@ centers around the country, wrapped up their year with a particularly festive ceremony at Cisco's offices in Netanya. The event began with a tour of Cisco’s Training Department and continued on to the ceremony, including a presentation recapping the participants’ leadership projects.
Cisco representative Ifat Baron and Net@ Program Manager Eran Raviv thanked the participants for a wonderful, accomplished year. Keren Hayesod’s Cooperative Ventures Manager Mike Bailey attended the ceremony as well.
Two Kiryat Malaachi students were granted scholarships towards their university studies.
The scholarship was donated in honorof the late Yossi Avichezer, a Net@ Kiryat Malaachi participant, who passed away from cancer.
Yossi’s family honored the ceremony with their presence and Yossi’s fomer instructor shared her memories of Yossi’s participation in the Net@ program. The ceremony concluded graduation certificates and Net@ backpacks.
We hope that the participants will use this bag to "carry" all the values they have received from the Net@ program as they start out in their new lives!
