The Jewish Agency Youth Futures program in Eilat, in cooperation with the Eilat Municipality and Noam Center, is sponsoring a lecture series for parents whose children take part in the Youth Futures program. Participants learn methods of enhancing parental authority and effective communication with children as means for dealing with challenges presented by adolescent children. The yearlong lecture series also touches on drug and alcohol abuse, and dangers related to the internet.

Mr. Herzl Kachlon opened the lecture series last week by presenting characteristics of adolescence (identity crisis, testing boundaries, etc.), presented examples, gave practical tips and answered parents' questions.

The parents are eagerly anticipating the next lecture!
