A week of extensive training was held in August for the new team of trustees. Training consisted of intensive study days focused on a particular theme: The Youth Futures Program and its Integration in the City; the Perception of the Trustee in the School Environment; Children and Youth in the Community Mirror; the Four Spheres of Action.
The training's content was delivered by the staff of Youth Futures: the supervisor of trustees, the program's director, a professional facilitator, veteran trustees, as well as various municipality figures including: Esti Bar-Sadeh, director of municipal psychological services; Lia Vershitzky, principal of Carmel School; Boris Brodsky, supervisor of high schools; Sally Berkovitch, director of the Children's and Youth Center; Reuven Amsalem, director of the Youth Department; Anatoly Goldstein, municipal truant officer; Reuven Shreir, director of the Association for the Advancement of Sport plus additional representatives from the network of community centers.
When it was over, training was considered a big success-it supplied a professional response prior to the new school year and serves as a platform for continued annual training.
