Deekla was born in 1982 in Tiberias and has lived in Tiberias all of her life. She served in the IDF a teacher and worked with underprivileged children, families in stress, and learned how to work under pressure. She learned about the program from an advertisement in the newspaper and joined the project with a readiness to help children from Tiberias that so badly need the program to help prevent their decline. "These children are faced with many negative role models and I feel that it is very important to give them positive role models."

Deekla holds a law degree and is in the process of doing her internship.
Deekla is married and is mother to Noah, who is two years old.
